I tried but it's not working, since it's downloading version r181-1 and not r63-2 and the exec file is not K99webcam but it is S96mjpg-streamer.
I also checked with Asus firmware "RT-N66U_3.0.0.4_374_5517-g302e4dc" and I've got he same results: cannot connect to 3G Modem anymore.

Anyone sees this issue with the huge traffic reported realtime? I'm using a 3G modem Huawey 372 in Dual Wan mode (even if I don't have a primary connection at all)
You're missing the point: main power reboot is not good for attached USB devices. You need a clean software reboot that unmounts the drives attached.
For anyone interested, I needed it to have my 3G connection reestablished twice a day: once at 00:10 and second at 06:50 for my happy night...
