    Why separate SSIDs for IoT devices?

    At a recent tech talk I attended, the speaker strongly recommended to the audience that all IoT devices on the network must have their own SSID. Why? It can't be a security concern because devices are going to be on the same network anyway. Can anybody suggest why this recommendation was made?
