How to block LAN access for a wired device on ASUS Merlin (Firmware 3004.388.8_2)?

Thanks. Luckily I found a TPLink RE550 in a drawer, so now have: Router ===> (guest wifi) ===> RE550 ===> (ethernet) ==> Powerline ==> (AC/mains cable) => Powerline AP ===> (wifi for event stalls) It's a bit contrived, but it works. I was slightly confused how I could access my LAN devices...

How to block LAN access for a wired device on ASUS Merlin (Firmware 3004.388.8_2)?

I'm trying to resolve a similar thing, so want to check if my understanding is correct. Here's my scenario: There's an event in my village, which will need internet access for payment providers I'm the nearest house to the event So we're going to use powerline from my LAN, via a long extension...

No, all of my nodes run the guest network just fine. Best to open a new thread in the forum.

Solved AIMesh support for Guest Network on Nodes

Actually, never mind. I just realised it's because I have two guest networks, and that option is only available on the primary guest network.... Solved!

Solved AIMesh support for Guest Network on Nodes

Hi all, I've got an AIMesh network set up with an AC86U as the root, and then two AC68Us as nodes. I noticed today that I can't access the guest network unless I'm in range of the root node - it seems it's not being replicated on the nodes. I had a quick google, and see that Asus added the...

Recommendations - best / cheapest AIMesh node?

Managed to win an AC68U on eBay for £31 today, so that should do the job nicely. :)

Recommendations - best / cheapest AIMesh node?

Sorry, I should have said, I currently have an AC86U as my router, and an AC68U as an AIMesh node. I just want to add another node, as cheaply as possible, to extend the coverage over the garden, as it's currently a bit patchy due to the position of the other two nodes in the house.

Recommendations - best / cheapest AIMesh node?

Hi all, Need an extra node to give coverage over the garden - so looking for the cheapest option to add an AIMesh node to my network. I'm running Asus-Merlin, and it'll be connected via a wired backhaul. Am I right in thinking that the best option is a used AC68U or AC86U from eBay?

    AC86U - do I need a modem for FTTC?

Thanks, I have all that configured on my router. I think it's just the modem I'm needing.

    AC86U - do I need a modem for FTTC?

Thanks. Typo, I have both, but the main router is an 86.

    AC86U - do I need a modem for FTTC?

Hi all, I recently moved house and have been battling to get my broadband connected. However, I've been told it's connected now, but it's still not working for me. I'm wondering if I am getting slightly confused about my hardware etc. At my previous house I had FTTC, and there was an openreach...

Missing antenna and AIMesh node dropouts - related?

Thanks. Been using that cable for years so it should be all good.

Missing antenna and AIMesh node dropouts - related?

I used Powerline for a couple of years without fault, and they performed brilliantly. The only reason I stopped using them at all was because I moved some stuff around in my house and ended up moving my NAS next to my router. And that was in a 200-year-old house with ropey wiring. But yes, I've...
