one suggestion fyi if your modem got dhcp, then set the primary xt8 as "access point mode", you can find it in web or app. Then the ports are bridged, the connect modem to one of the 1G port, then 2.5G port is LAN. give it a try

you can use the port nearby power slot to be WAN to the Primary LAN as Eth backhaul
