one suggestion fyi
if your modem got dhcp, then set the primary xt8 as "access point mode", you can find it in web or app.
Then the ports are bridged, the connect modem to one of the 1G port, then 2.5G port is LAN.

Announcement here: TM-AC1900 is not on ASUS AiMesh official support list, it's under TM license model. Once TM-AC1900 is flashed to non-TM certificated firmware, warranty will be gone.

Basically no matter tri-band to be primary or secondary are both ok to use.
why suggested to put tri-band to secondary is there will be a dedicated backhaul to connect to primary, so will not degrade speed for clients link to secondary lot.
