Hey Merlin, do you think this would be a good router to add as a mesh system with my existing BE88U? I need a bit more range and was wondering if it would be worth it.

So it seems like the BE88U latest alpha is the ones experiencing Aimesh not working properly and wifi devices not showing properly.

Yeah, this new build has some bugs. I reverted back to stock firmware for now.

Can you check if the aimesh tab in the router settings is loading up? I had a blank page when clicking the aimesh tab.

Can you check if your AIMesh is working? I think the errors I was getting in the log had to do with AImesh not working.

Flashed the new firmware that released today on my BE88U and keep getting this watchdog in my logs every 30 seconds. I factory reset it after the firmware update and it's still happening. Also when I factory reset it, the BE88U couldn't detect my modem and had to do a manual setup. Any clue what...

Interesting. If there are small extenders like these, why do people buy routers to use AI Mesh instead?

That’s a really good suggestion, especially since the price is reasonable. I also just got the BE88U and need a bit more range, but I don’t have any way to set up a wired backhaul. Do you think it’s worth getting this if I can only use a wireless backhaul?
