It's been a while since I've played with this but what i had before with some of these installations that it runs out of memory. When I enabled a swap file just for the installation it works. Just out of curiosity what do you need java for?

You need to have the chroot to get the environment. But you can script that so you don't need to manually go in the chroot all the time.

Yes been running like that for ages. Make sure you have icmp enabled before registering your ipv4 address at HE. Disable it after.

I'm on a AC68U so I would have to use a chrooted environment as optware or entware doesn't have strongswan for that. But what i mean is load the kernel modules and use the Debian chroot for ac66 or in my case the one i created for the ac68 and try running it from there.
Not sure if Merlin has...
Why not try to get this to work with the chrooted environment? And follow this guide.

No problem here on the 5ghz.
What I did find is that the video streaming from YouTube doesn't hicup anymore with this latest version.

You can run the second stage form the pc too but you would need to install a package that emulates. I think it was called qemu.

It was working just fine before.
Update:
I tried it from a terminal session and it works just fine. Must be a webinterface problem.
Let's hope they bring out the final quickly and have that fixed.

You could also try getting nzbget running on my Debian build.
Just skip the OwnCloud part.
