After 24h, things seems to be running as usual from a performance perspective. On the GUI, I noticed the Traffic Monitor tab has stopped working. Toggling it off and on last night did not change things. Has anyone else noticed this?
What's interesting is the directions and screen shots in the manual do NOT match what I see on my WebGUI. It's curious if it turns on automatically when you select more than one band on a network, rather than having it as an option like older routers did.
Where is the SmartConnect setting on the BE98Pro? When I configure networks in the WebGUI, I don't see that option anywhere like I did with older Asus routers.
I found that when I had the 5 and 6GHz bands on the same network that iOS devices on the 5Ghz network had terrible speeds. Android and Windows devices had no issues. And the IOS devices were fine when attached to other nodes. The issue was only with the 96U. So, I split my 6GHz band out separate...
What devices are not getting good speed on the mesh node and on what network are they connected?
How are your wireless networks setup? Do you have a separate network for each wireless band?
I have these two routers in a similar config and have learned a few things.
I'm seeing the same thing. I didn't play with it much right after the install, but looking through things more last night, this is definitely the case.
I updated mine via the Web GUI on my computer. I got a pop up after the upgrade that I needed to restart the 98 Pro manually. I don't remember having that happen with previous upgrades. Did a powercycle at the router, and everything came up as expected. The last 3 hours have shown no noticeable...
I have a BE88u as a mesh node on my network. I installed the firmware through my router web GUI successfully. I also performed the recommended factory reset. After 24h, no noticeable changes to the units operations.
I decided to give it some more time before doing a rollback. Since that one event on Monday, it hasn't had any issues. As for the report of a memory leak, I don't think I'm seeing any issues. RAM has been under 50% for entire 4 days since the last reboot. But, maybe I'm not looking at the right...
I had a hiccup this morning, when all clients (wired and wireless on all bands) lost internet. All clients were still connected to the router. The router did not see a loss of internet and showed nothing wrong. Doing a system reboot recovered everything back to normal. I saw this behavior a few...
What 2.4 GHz drops were you experiencing? I've had the new firmware running fine since the day after the release. But I didn't have drops with the previous version.
