    Release ASUS RT-AX88U Firmware version 3.0.0.4.388_24209 (2024/03/29)

I have two AX88Us as nodes on my AI Mesh. No noticeable changes since the upgrade.

    Asus RT-AX89X firmware ОреnWRT

What new features does it have over the stock Asus WRT?

ASUS Router RT-AX89X cutting off connectivity constantly.

In addition to what others have suggested, some data on which firmware versions you've been running would also be useful. There was an extensive beta suite of firmwares for that router and some of them had memory leak issues. But, they don't seem to be present in the latest official release. I...

    Asus AX89X replacement options

Good perspective. Not really right now.

    Asus AX89X replacement options

My AX89X is about 4 years old and has been needing multiple reboots a day to recover the WAN connection. My fiber service's ONT does not seem to be the culprit, as the provider sees no issues with it, and I only need to cycle the AX89X to recover the connection. Sometimes, it takes 3 or 4 tries...

AiMesh Nodes intermittently disconnect and then reconnect at random

This part of your post has me curious from my own experience setting up the AX89X on more than one occasion. When I setup the AX89X with two AX88Us as nodes, I hooked up the Cat 5e ethernet cables and went through the AI Mesh setup for both nodes. I never saw the Ethernet Backhaul Mode setting...

Release ASUS RT-AX89X Firmware version 3.0.0.4.388_32407

Ditto on the no issues with the nodes sentiment. I have not seen any issues with 4 nodes connected via ethernet backhaul in two years with the AX89X. I even ran all of the beta firmwares between the two versions mentioned. While I found a few quirks with those betas, none of them were related to...

Release ASUS RT-AX89X Firmware version 3.0.0.4.388_32407

Good data. Thanks. I've been running for days now on the beta with no issues. I'll check that setting next time I change versions.

Release ASUS RT-AX89X Firmware version 3.0.0.4.388_32407

I've had an interesting issue pop up in the last 24h. I had a repeat of the WAN connection not being found that I saw 5 days ago, and all of my clients losing the internet, despite my ONT being fine. It happened 4 times in 15 hours yesterday. Each time, a reboot of the router fixed the issue...

    Beta Asus RT-AX89X_9.0.0.4_388_31185 Beta

New official release works really well. Thanks for posting the change in the experimental. Not something I need, so I'll stick with the official.

Release ASUS RT-AX89X Firmware version 3.0.0.4.388_32407

Installed this on Oct 22nd, and I only have had one issue. After 13 days, the WAN connection couldn't be found. Powercycling the AX89X recovered it. Not sure why it lost connection to my ONT, which I didn't powercycle. Since then, not issues.

    Beta Asus RT-AX89X_9.0.0.4_388_31185 Beta

I agree stable firmware is all that's needed at this point, but I would add security updates. And for my needs, this latest beta seems to be really stable. By far the best version of firmware I've experienced on the unit in the last 3 years.

    Release ASUS RT-AX3000 AND RT-AX58U- Firmware version 3.0.0.4.388_23925 (2023/09/27)

I have an AX3000 and a AX58U, both running as nodes on an AI Mesh. I updated to 23925 through phone app with no issues. Everything seems to be running fine so far. I'm not sure what HW version I have.

How do you identify which hardware version you have?
