    Does such an update wipe out your settings? I presume it at least wipes out your private SSH keys (if you added them), correct? I'm new to Voxel and still not clear on what gets wiped vs what doesn't when you upgrade to a new version.

    The goal is to try to have clients "prefer" the 5GHz channel by seeing it's beacon before seeing the the 2.4GHz beacon. Is this not what beacon interval is meant to be used for?

    Question regarding config persistence with Voxel firmware... If I edit /etc/config/wireless to manually set the beacon interval for the 2.4Ghz & 5Ghz radios, will it persist after a reboot?

    This is not correct. The script checks to see if the files to be copied exist on the flash drive and, if so, copies them to the correct location on the router.     This is my first time doing an in-place upgrade of Voxel firmware. Is it normal/expected to lose the SSH key setup done in the previous version and to have to re-do the setssh process with a USB stick to get my personal keys installed?

    Is the cached logged in user information stored somewhere in nvram that I can reset manually before the factory reset/reboot cycle? I seem to recall seeing this somewhere but I can't find it now. If so, would that prevent this issue? UPDATE: Found the old thread I was looking for...

    How can values cached in Firefox make Chrome not work when attempting to log into the router for the very first time? ;) In fact, even when I tried logging into the router for the very first time after unboxing it, I ran into this exact issue. That could not be caused by cached browser values...

I've tried a FF private window as well as switching over to Chrome (which I had never previously used to configure my router) and the issue persisted.     So no way to avoid it without switching over to the default Asus subnet and using static IP's where necessary? If not, that's a bummer. Why on earth would a "restore factory defaults" not reset the last-logged-in IP address?

    5GHz WiFi issues on RT-AX86U latest stock FW

    Strange that I've never had an issue in this location with my previous router (Netgear R7800). I did have an Android tablet nearby casting device audio to a Chromecast speaker in the same room, all on the 5GHz channel so there was a lot of network activity in that room at the time.
