Thank you. So this will most likely also be the cause for the issue with the asus mobile app (I don't use it but I guess this is it).
I am not using your integration but instead the officia HA AsusWRT integration. I hope they are fixing the issue too.
Or maybe easier, if @RMerlin could find a...
Hmm I would prefer to stick with the official HA Asus integration as I also don't want to install HACS. Any idea what the default option uses to connect? Http?
Alright so disconnect HomeAssistant from the router (disable Asus integration) makes login work again.
It seems only one connection will work in https mode or "both" mode: either HomeAssistant or the Webinterface login.
For now I keep the HomeAssistant Integration enabled but know that I can't...
Uhm RT-AX86U here with HA and AsusRouter Integration (the official one) as well.
After the update I can't login to the router or even if I somehow manage to login, it will kick me out and make the webinterface unavailable after a few clicks.
In the Firmware Upgrade page is a toggle for "Security Upgrade".
It says:
Can this be enabled with merlin WRT or could this cause the firmware to try and update with the original ASUS firmware?
So am I correct that all I have to do is add "ecdh-curve secp384r1" to the "custom configuration" to enable it?
After doing so there is no trace of it in the client.ovpn file though?
Thanks!
For me it could also not find the release notes when trying to upgrade from 3004.388.4.
The updated work fine now.
If I understand correctly, the bug should be fixed and when doing the next upgrade to 388.6 I should be able to find the changelog?
Besides... I am always checking your website for...
Yes this is exactly what I was thinking and how my webserver is battling spam and attacks... a simple tool to block/ban IPs based on some rules (e.g. getting spammed on a port).
This would be a really really neat feature in Asus WRT Merlin @RMerlin :)
Thanks for your feedback.
Uh good input! I believe I was able to send e-mails while connected to the hotels WLAN so this might be a good idea.
I am also still looking for a way to make syncthing work in such scenarios.
So I could try using OpenVPN on TCP 443 and Syncthing on TCP 993.
I understand, I agree.. but there aren't any other solutions?
Additionally, whats the impact of getting bombarded by a port scanner? Security wise it should not matter?
The hotel I have been was really strict.
I couldn't even use DNSCrypt (which I don't know how it was blocked since that also uses the standard ports?).
