No proper AP handovers for VoWiFi calls

I'm using a setup with RT-AC68U in router mode and RT-AC56U in AP mode, both connected with Ethernet backhaul. My mobile telco supports VoWiFi and I have it enabled on my iPhone. VoWiFi calling works fine only as long as I don't roam between my two APs. As soon as I move to another room, the...

    [Official] RT-AC68U Firmware version 3.0.0.4.380.1842

You're right, I was rude and I apologize.

    [Official] RT-AC68U Firmware version 3.0.0.4.380.1842

This is not a solution. No offence, but I think this should be a big deal for you as well. You bought an expensive, top of the range device that got crippled after what was supposed to be an update, wasn't fixed after the next update and they don't seem to care.

    [Official] RT-AC68U Firmware version 3.0.0.4.380.1842

2.4 GHz still broken for me as well. This is getting ridiculous...

    ASUS RT-AC68U Version 3.0.0.4.380.1031

Over a month has passed and 380 is still listed as the latest official release. Are they really cool with people having to choose between having QoS enabled and a working 2.4 GHz band? Doesn't instill a lot of confidence...

    ASUS RT-AC68U Version 3.0.0.4.380.1031

Thank you, good to know. Only I haven't disabled it manually. I use "Traditional QoS" which disables CTF and FA automatically. Definitely a bug in my opinion.

    ASUS RT-AC68U Version 3.0.0.4.380.1031

Count me in - neither my Sony BD Player nor Xperia Z2 Tablet was able to access the internet via 2.4GHz band with this firmware. IIRC, they were getting a DHCP lease but the DNS queries failed (don't quote me on that one, though).

    [Official] RT-AC68U Firmware version 3.0.0.4.378.9313

Opening "Bandwidth Monitor" page breaks QoS functionality for me. Both "Traditional QoS" and "Bandwidth Limiter" modes (probably "Adaptive" as well but I haven't tested it properly) stop working as soon as I open the "Bandwidth Monitor" page (the first, default one under "Adaptive QoS" section)...

ASUS RT-AC68U firmware version 3.0.0.4.378.3762 out in Japan

An off-topic question but how do they actually detect the part of the world you're in? Serial number range tables? WAN IP geolocation? Some EEPROM value? How come the situations like "version xxx has broken 5 GHz band for EU/US users"? Or do they rely on users taking care to download the file...

    New AC68 Firmware Version 3.0.0.4.376.3626

And the RT-AC56U still being left out in the cold with the .3602 "For US and TW only" listed as the most recent firmware...

    RT-AC68 - New firmware 3.0.0.4.376_3602 (AVOID)

And what about RT-AC56U? It seems they forgot about RT-AC56U. They still list _3602 as the most recent firmware for it, with the "US and TW only" remark. Or perhaps this model wasn't affected by the 5GHz-crippling issue?

    Repeater for ac68U

Where I live (central Europe), RP-AC52's availability is also very poor. The price comparison tools do list them as available from just a few sellers but the price is c.a. 80% the price of RT-AC56U. I was in similar position (only I wanted it as a wired Access Point, not Wi-Fi repeater) just a...

RT-AC68U in AP mode - no jumbo frame settings?

Thank you, guys. I'll use the telnet command as an interim solution but will raise a request to Asus anyway. From your experience, what would be the best way to do that (best chance of not getting ignored) - their forum, support request web form?

RT-AC68U in AP mode - no jumbo frame settings?

Hi everyone, I've built my new home network around RT-AC56U in router mode and RT-AC68U in AP mode, both connected to a GbE "backbone". While I can access the "Enable Jumbo Frame" option on the RT-AC56U no problem, the whole "LAN -> Switch Control" tab is now missing from the AC68's interface...

Non-24 bit subnet mask - any downsides?

Thanks for your input, guys. Based on that, I've abandoned the idea and just revived my simple "bunch the devices into subranges of 10" scheme with dynamic DHCP pool at the top. I definitely don't want to solve, what essentially is a non-issue, by breaking service auto-discovery and who knows...
