Upgraded to 386.1_0 from 384.19 & there seems to be a phantom device

mac oui lookup doesnt report back a vendor... i wonder if these are from a bluetooth or some WAN emulation link or something (just wrongly classified as 'wired'). but yeah easy way is to just disconnect everything from router and see if it shows up. if so, then only connect the one computer and...

Cannot access web interface after upgrade to 386.1_2 on AC5300

RT-AC88U -- 384.19_0 -> 386.1_2 I normally just do dirty upgrades and never had an issue until this time. I also ran into the whole cant get to the webui. Everything else seemed to be fine, could ssh into router and I could see: # top Mem: 215184K used, 300024K free, 31020K shrd, 2396K buff...

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.18 and 384.13_10 is now available

Not sure what you wanted me to reboot, but I suspect you were actually trying to just say to clear browser cache. Did so, which fixed the GameProfile (Open NAT) icon. Looks like it is just by design to say "Game" for gameboost area

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.18 and 384.13_10 is now available

just upgraded to 384.18 on my rt-ac88u and noticed the left bar menu is a bit wonky. I see per source it should be GameBoost but shows "Game" and then for GameProfile it shows "Open NAT" with icon missing:

    RT-AC88U Wi-Fi 2.4GHz Issues and Ethernet Issues 384.13_2

.15 was utter crap for me as well, 2.4 ghz just kept crapping out and have to turn off/on the radio to get it to work every day or so. .16 is better, have had 2.4ghz band crash 3 times so far in 18 days. just hit and miss on each firmware update since the 'ng' branch.

    RT-AC88U Wi-Fi 2.4GHz Issues and Ethernet Issues 384.13_2

384.14__2 was awful for me. the 2.4Ghz wireless radio would crash very often (sometimes daily and multiple times, longest I got wifi to stay stable was 4 days). just upgraded to 384.15 to see if this is any better.

    RT-AC88U Wi-Fi 2.4GHz Issues and Ethernet Issues 384.13_2

I have a RT-AC88U which had stable wifi on stock and later on 380.70. then when 384.x came out it was bad with wifi crapping out every few days or weeks. having to turn off wifi radio and back on to get it to work until the next event. 384.7__2 was fine, I would run for 100+ days with stable...

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.12 is now available

which is why I noted "until the buggy driver included in the gpl got updated.". but regardless, just noting my issues with this newer build. I'll just downgrade to older release which was fine and wait until a new release with updated gpl base that may fix it and try again at that point.

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.12 is now available

Using Asus RT-AC88U. I was plagued with 2.4Ghz issues back on the 384.x and had to downgrade to 380.70 until the buggy driver included in the gpl got updated. I didn't have any wireless issues while on 384.8_2 and was still good on 384.9, which had been stable for a few months (170 days+ router...

[Beta] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.8 beta is now available

left off the change log, webui: allow changing image for device vendors with a quote (like "Micro-star int'l co., ltd.") I can happily report that I can assign the images for MSI based devices again :)

    RT-AC88U Drops Wireless connection

its a known issue with the 384.x that it has buggy wireless drivers. either downgrade or wait for next release that has the updated drivers in the gpl sync

    [Release 384/NG] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.5 is now available

try flashing back to the legacy 380.70 merlin firmware to fix it in the short term -- thats what fixed the issue for me. if you look on this forum, you will see its a 'known' problem with the included wireless driver in the 384.x releases and the next gpl merge that merlin does should* have the...

    [Release 384/NG] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.5 is now available

still stable now for 12 days 2 hours. so yeah, looks like 380.70 is where I'm going to have to live until the 2.4ghz issue in the 384.x gets figured out. :(

    [Release 384/NG] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.5 is now available

quick update: brand new rt-ac88u a few weeks old, while on on 384.x I kept having 2.4ghz issues where that radio would drop out and anything that was using it would try to reconnect and fail until you turn the radio off then on / reboot the device. 5ghz would be fine and the led for 2.4ghz was...
