    BE88U replace AX88U with VLAN

AC68U will have ~45m of Cat7/8 cable (with many concrete walls inbetween). I would prefer AiMesh over AP Mode to dermaßen maintenance (eg when switching SSIDs or passwords). Ans yes, even if being far away, they shall be in the same main network. What is LLDP and ehy is it important? PS...

    BE88U replace AX88U with VLAN

Switch is only 1G. The question was just a theoretical, to know if the harware itself would support it. 2.5G+ switch will follow once really required. What is SMB hardware?

    BE88U replace AX88U with VLAN

@Tech9 Thanks for the answers. What do you mean by "RT-AC68U and RT-AX88U (AiMesh, 3006 GNP -> 3004 GN)."? AX88U does not have a 3006 version (or am I missing something?). Just in case, I have the non PRO version of AX88U. What if I change my scenario a bit: 2. Would it be possible if this node...

    BE88U replace AX88U with VLAN

Hello, I have a question regarding VLAN and a combination of Routers. All are (shall be) running Merlin FW. My current setup is: !!! AX88U !!! <=> Managed switch <=> AC68U (all connected via LAN) The exclamation marks indicate the main router which is connected to a modem. My desired setup...

    Root Certificate download is empty

Yes, it is not mandatory. But connecting to the HTTPS part will highlight an insecure/untrusted connection. That is why I wanted to download it (which I managed by now, see previous post).

    Root Certificate download is empty

After connecting via HTTPS, I have inspected the certificate that the router identified with (via a browser) (in other words the SSL certificate).

    Root Certificate download is empty

I mixed something up Administration -> System: Here is the HTTP/HTTPS/BOTH option Set to BOTH and 80 / 8443 WAN -> DDNS: Here are the certificate options Set to Lets Encrypt After changing it to "Auto" (like you suggested) I was now agble to download the certificate (which in fact is a...

    Root Certificate download is empty

Only the WAN Page has the option to set HTTP / HTTPS. Access from WAN is disabled anyway. Anyway, your reply does not answer the issue to download the certificate, which is proposed by the router.

    Root Certificate download is empty

Today I updated My AX88U to 3004_388.10_2. When opening the router website via HTTP I got a recommendation to download a root certificate and switch to HTTPS. Clicking the download link resulted in an empty file (0 KB). But opening the website (https://router.asus.com:8443) does not show any...

Solved DNS Server IPv6 (not working) (DHCPv6 returning wrong IPv6)

Finally it is solved. Here what I have done now (inspired by https://avm.de/service/wissensdatenbank/dok/FRITZ-Box-7590/1239_IPv6-Subnetz-in-FRITZ-Box-einrichten/): Fritzbox Internet > Account Information Internet > Online Monitor (ensure that you have the requestd prefix) Home Network >...

Solved DNS Server IPv6 (not working) (DHCPv6 returning wrong IPv6)

Can I use another mode (eg native) while still being behind my fritzbox? Right now "native" will prevent IPv6 from working (maybe I am not configuring it correctly) I enabled debug on ipv6. What is the next step? I do not know what I shall see or look for in them.

Solved DNS Server IPv6 (not working) (DHCPv6 returning wrong IPv6)

"Enable Router Advertisement" is not available with "Passthrough". Changing to "Native" will disable my IPv6. I have set it up according to "https://www.asus.com/support/FAQ/113990" where my WAN type is "Automatic IP".

Solved DNS Server IPv6 (not working) (DHCPv6 returning wrong IPv6)

The script is now executed (I forgor to make it executable). So I have the IPv6 of Adguard in brackets in "dnsmasq.conf". But still the advertised IPv6 is the router IPv6. Have you checked if my settings (first post screenshots) are correct?

Solved DNS Server IPv6 (not working) (DHCPv6 returning wrong IPv6)

    I added a script to "/jffs/configs/dnsmasq.postconf" with content: #!/bin/sh #/jffs/configs/dnsmasq.postconf CONFIG=$1 source /usr/sbin/helper.sh sed -i "s/dhcp-option=lan,option6:23,.*/dhcp-option=lan,option6:23,[fe80::ea84:0000:0000:fe69]/" $CONFIG After reboot my "dnsmasq.conf" still has...

Solved DNS Server IPv6 (not working) (DHCPv6 returning wrong IPv6)

My "/etc/dnsmasq.conf" has already this line: dhcp-option=lan,option6:23,fe80::ea84:0000:0000:fe69 Which is the local IPv6 of my Adguard So adding this script seems to be useless as it would replace something with the same. Or am I wrong?
