2 Home office help

New Around Here
No one seems to be able to help us (we are in a rural area). I have a home office and have bought the house next door as a second home office. The distance is about 250-300 ft. Clear sight but the second home is concrete. Upon one suggestion I bought D-Link DIR-868L routers for both, told they would hook up and we would be great...didn't work...yesterday I was told to by Linksys ..read about them last night don't think they will work. Thinking about Asus now. My problem is small...I have 3-4 program files in my "old" office that I need to be able to use at the new one. That's it, it doesn't seem that it should be that hard to be able to do that. I am brain dead...any suggestions? Thanks for all suggestions

I would run a wire from one office to the other. Dig yourself a little trench or just open the earth up with a shovel and push the wire in. If you can’t get it to run as a gig connection then a 100 meg connection is still pretty fast. Just drill a hole like for a coax cable and run your wire in the room. Terminate it in a box and it will look like a pro did it. Once you have wire you will never want to go back to wireless. You also will be able to share the same internet connection which will save you money.
