Hi,

Just wondering what's the best setup for use with 2 x xbox one consoles on an AC88U running latest Merlin 380.68 and what settings to use for best latency?

Thanks for any guidance.

game boost, is just adaptive qos set to game mode, or game priority, FQ_CODEL and make sure to set wan packet overhead.

How would one do this (what are the telnet commands or settings via GUI?), what value should the packet overhead be set to and where in the router menu's?

Thanks and also to @e38BimmerFN

use the presets, if you know what connection u have. If not ill give u a hand.

Thanks, so do I leave 'one click game mode' enabled and go to Adaptive QoS /QoS and set FQ_CODEL, Leave QoS as adaptive and auto bandwidth (on a 20 upload/80 download connection)?

I'm on PPPoE, my connection is FTTC (AC88U - ISP Modem - Copper phone line to the Fibre cabinet), unsure what variable to use - VDSL and do I tick - ATM?

Anything else I should change?

auto is for 10gb use manual bandwidth from speedtest.net, use vdsl pppoe, since you have node fiber, don't tick atm that's only for adsl.

Ok cool, thanks.

I have noticed that when I save the settings the 'Wan packet overhead' setting defaults back to - select preset... and does not retain my 'PPPoE VDSL' setting, is this normal?
