5g disconnect random sometimes hard to reconnect

my new ax11000 has the habit to connect to 5-2 or 5-1 and fall back to 2.4 resulting in dropouts
changed smart to none , na the connection hard to connect.
installed merlin same problem with reconnect

Disable SmartConnect, fix the control channels per band, use 80MHz wide channel in non-DFS range.

For example: 2.4GHz Ch.1 20MHz, 5GHz-1 Ch.36 80MHz, 5GHz-2 Ch.149 (if available, or Ch.100) 80MHz.

Use 2.4GHz for slow devices like IoT; use 5GHz-1 for faster devices like phones, tablets, computers, TV; use 5GHz-2 as dedicated for gaming consoles, VR sets, etc.

Asuswrt-Merlin has nothing to do with Wi-Fi performance. Uses the same drivers from stock Asuswrt.
