5g disconnect when hiding SSID

AC-RT3100 386.4, when I turn off the SSID only on the 5g, my Roku's and my tablet get disconnected, like the 5g isn't there. My phones and laptop will still see the connection.
Appreciate any ideas.

There's no sound reason for hiding your SSID. It provides no greater security. In fact, doing so is KNOWN to cause issue w/ some wireless devices and platforms!

ok. but never had a problem with any prior firmware, including 386.3.2.
now it's a problem.
