5ghz auto channel still ignores the checkbox for dont use band1

This has been a common issue for me. I deselect the "use band1 channels" and set 5ghz to auto and it still selects band1 channels automatically...

It depends on what you understand the meaning of "band1 channels" to be.

Ya.. that doesn't have anything to do with the question... If you deselect the band1 channels it just rechecks it when it applies and uses Band1 channels in the "auto channel" option...

It sounds like a bug, what router model and firmware do you have?

AC68U and latest MerlinWRT .. It has been doing this for a while but I only noticed again when I moved and tried to do an auto channel on 5ghz to take a look at what was recommended by the auto selection.
