5GHZ Band on RT-AC87R

Hi,

I own the RT-AC87R and the 5GHz band is not visible on any of my 5GHz enabled clients. I do not have any special characters in the SSID or key (everything is alphanumeric). I am running the most recent firmware version: 3.0.0.4.378_9460. Any ideas?

does the router cast the ssid? or is it hidden? are you able to add the 5ghz wifi to your other devices manually althought it isnt visible when the device is scanning networks?

I am unable to manually add the 5GHz band.

The "Hide SSID" option is set to no.

I have attempted to copy and paste the settings here:

Band - 5HGz
SSID - Honey5G
Hide SSID - No
Wireless Mode - Auto
Channel bandwidth - 80MHz
Control Channel - Auto: Current control channel: 149
Extension Channel - Auto
Authentication Method WPA2 - Personal
WPA Encryption - AES
WPA Pre-Shared Key
Protected Management Frames - Disable
Network Key Rotation Interval - 3600

Just for testing ...try to set the control channel on a lower value...like 48...

Thank you. Just tried it. Still not showing up. For reference, I am using a Galaxy Note 5 to test.

The same thing with my ac87u I solved it just faur said, fix channel to 40 no auto.

I have now tried both 40 and 48 to no avail

Should I also change the bandwidth? Or just the control channel?
