AC3000 CT8 guest network on nodes

I think I know the answer but I’m posting here in the hope that someone has a workaround / fix / hack.

I have a router (AC3000 CT8 ) and x2 nodes (also CT8s) running latest firmware and setup as aimesh.

I have a guest network but it is only accessible from the main router.

from my endless reading it looks like this is supported in the XT routers on latest firmware but not the CT routers.

1. is this correct?
2. Anyone any idea if the guest network on node functionality will ever come to CT8s
3. If I changed to an XT8 router would it share the guest network with the CT8s as nodes?
