AC5300 Enhanced Traffic Monitoring..Where??

dougm

New Around Here
I have the RT-AC5300, with Merlin 384.10_2. I want to see which hosts on my network are consuming how much bandwidth every month. I enabled the Enhanced Traffic Monitoring on Tools>Other Settings as described here. I have a 1 GB USB drive inserted to store the data. I enabled Yes for both options to Create the data files, and after I hit Apply they went back to No.

But where do I go to view the results? It's not on the Traffic Analyzer page, that's where you have to sell your soul and first born child to Trend Micro (Yuck). I saw some other screen shot of an RT68 and they have a link on the sidebar that says Traffic Monitor, but that's not showing up for me.

What am I missing? I can't find out what this is actually doing. Do I actually have to SSH in and look at the data files via the command line? Are there any other ways to do what I want on this router without using Trend Micro?

Thank you

Traffic Analyzer -> Traffic Monitor. Pages are in the dropdown menu to the right of the page.

Gosh, that was too obvious, thanks. Is there a way to get the hostnames to show up rather than the IP addresses? All of my IP addresses are assigned by DHCP reservations by MAC.

It's a checkbox on the Monitoring page. It requires your router to know the client's hostname however, so it must be using the router's DHCP.

Yes, my router has all the hosts assigned static reservations by their Mac address in the LAN/DHCP settings page. But I am still just getting IP addresses in the list even with the Show Hostnames box checked.
