Boy, I have a good question, one in which I have been trying to figure out for months.
I have a Dell 5323 (2.4 GHz capable) laptop and a ASUS AC66U router. For some reason, they don't play nice with each other. If this helps, my laptop has the intel centrino 2330 card.
The problem is the Dell wifi will intermittently drop (happens when web browsing about every 4 mins, then re-connects) but only in conjunction with this router. I have just tested the laptop using my Linksys e1200 and my Netgear WNR1000v3 with no problem. Why in the world am i only having connection issues with the ASUS router along with the Dell laptop? If this helps, the problem seems to go away when I change the laptop's advanced wifi setting to disable N under advance settings.
I will gladly provide any additional info. Also, none of my other devices have a problem with the ASUS router. Only my Dell laptop. Help!!
Oh, I THINK this issue happens with both stock and Merlin firmware. I currently have the stock flashed.
