Guyz i am lost on this..

how do i connect / disconnect wan as per my need?

currently i have to go to my dsl modem and pull the power cable out of it so that AC68U router will disconnect from it or i have to pull my USB modem from the back of the router to disconnect from it.. in the modem page i can disable USB but that brings the whole router down reboot, all wifi clients get disconnected, anyone on media server gets disconnected, everyone on lan gets disconnected just because i wanted to disconnect from usb modem.. thats insane..

connect / disconnect button on network page IS NEEDED something like below:

please see below image top:

WAN CONNECT DISCONNECT.jpg

else how are you doing it currently without bringing a mayhem router reboot? its not intuitive if there is a sane way for it.. i was using Linksys and TP-Link earlier and they all are having a simple connect disconnect from wan as required causing no router reboot..

something like as shown in above image is NEEDED.. how are you doing it?

Click on the WAN icon on that page, and you will have access to basic WAN controls.

Connect the modem to a clapper. So all you have to do is clap your hands and the modem will turn off. .:p

Thanks merlin for your help. .I will try that. . But I think that reboots my router but I will check and confirm. . Must be working that way as suggested by you. .

Thank KGB that was good fun :) We sure are in happy holidays mood now :)
