AC87U Port forward problems

Jesper Rank Rasmussen

New Around Here
Hello.

I have been searching for solution to my AC87U Port forward and WIFI issues.
Got a colleague showing to the merlin custem firmware, and the newest beta build have for the moment solved my WIFI problem. However, portforward are still not working.
Is there something I can do?

I have tried,
  • Factory reset
  • Disable NAT Acceleration
  • Using UPNP only (Turn it on and off)
  • UPNP disabled and manuel port forward as displayed below (Fun part, is it shows as working, however nothing gets to the other side)
  • Using my old RT56U (Working fine) as a main router and the AC87U as a relay (Working), even got better connecting with this setup then with the RT56U only.
  • Normal Firmware (First build), Newest build, Merlin, DD-WRT (Crashed and had to use the restore tool)
  • Change or disable the NAT Loopback
I really like this router, it works fast, gives the tools i need and give me better response time then any other I have tried, however PF not working is a dealbreaker.
Hope someone have a thing i haven't tried yet :)

Best regards
Jesper

I see you are trying to forward port 32400 (Plex?). If you are running a VPN client, in many cases Plex forwarding won't work without setting up a VPN bypass for the Plex servers.

I can see you are trying to forward port for a Plex server.
To my knowledge, you only need TCP 32400.
Are you able to access http://192.168.1.3:32400/web/index.html#!/settings/server ?
If yes, go to Remote Access, and manually specific 32400 port.
Make sure your Plex server allows inbound connections to port 32400. Check firewall.

Hello, yeah I try to get to it. I have it on manuel, and its working fine when using my RT56U or direct connection to my host.
I have tried without a software firewall, dosn't change anything.

I can connect to it, and can also within my network (from other devises)

Thank you for taking the time to reply :)

Hey, I am not running any VPN clients. My host run a double NAT and I have tried the "asus" way of doing that, and itsn't working. Havn't tried since I got this router and installed Merlin on it. One problem at the time :)
