AC88U - just 4 rj45 ports working

Hi,

I have just installed the Asuswrt-merlin firmware version 380.69_2 but just works 4 lan ports (Lan1 to Lan4).
Any chance to fix this, 8 ports to work, or to work i have to install official firmware?

Unplug power, leave for 30 seconds, plug in. Common problem.

This is not a firmware issue, all 8 ports are supported by Asuswrt-Merlin.

The ‘extra’ four Ethernet ports on my 88U slowly died a couple of months ago. A power cycle fixed it but then they failed more and more frequently. Now they are dead. I can’t be bothered to RMA as everything else is tip-top. So I just use a spare 4 port gigabit switch instead.

For example, the port 8 works but not shows on the main menu. the main menu just shows the wan port and 4 lan ports.

on DHCP i have the mac of the hardware connectec to the router but not works.
