Adtran 3120 Issue - Bandwidth Limiting

Hi all ... I have a customer that has an Adtran 3120 configured for their VPN. They have a 6 Mb connection going out of the building, but have only been able to push up to 1.8 Mbps through the link.

Has anyone experienced this issue with the Adtran? Could this be a config issue limiting the throughout?

What tunnel encryption are you using? Our tests showed that the 3120 could only do around 2.4 Mbps maximum using a 3DES encrypted tunnel.

They're definitely using 3DES, so I guess we have an answer. Do you have a recommendation for a replacement pair of routers? I'll look at the test charts, but thought you might have some personal experience of preferences ... they do have a 10 Mbps outbound pipe in 2 other locations.

The Cisco RV series should be able to fully utilize that pipe. Sorry, but I don't know the encryption used for the IPsec tunnel throughput tests.
