New Around Here
I recently got myself the N66R router, very much impressed with its speed, though had some issues with interference in the 2.4ghz band since i live in a apartment where I see some 25+ ssids mostly with strong signal. Somehow managed to choose a good channel with istumbler and my problem is resolved.

Now coming to my main question, I'm sharing my usb drive attached to my router using the ai cloud feature, it works well. But the issue I'm having is when i use the "share using account" feature so that I can share specific folders with certain users, but it does not seem to work. only the main router account works, and the other accounts that I create using the usb application> server center> network place share/cloud disk, does not work. Any thoughts ? I'm at the 354 firmware version, I will try downgrading my firmware to see if it fixes the issue . but wanted to get some inputs first?

After selecting an account on the list, you then have to re-select their access permissions to each folder you wish to share, then apply at the bottom.

Also if you are using ext2 or ext3, make sure that you don't have permission issues with your disk and its content.

I noticed that you named the topic "aicloud" while your post didn't specify how you were accessing your disk.

If you are accessing over AiCloud, then you have to log with the router's main login first. After that, it's while browsing shares that you will be asked for a different username/password.

yes I'm using the ai cloud url to access the drive , so if I'm getting you right If I create a new account, give r/w access to some folders to that account I still would need the main router user id/password to login first and then use the new account to access the folder I shared.

My main account has full access, all I want to do is share some folder with my friend without giving away my main user id / password.

That's correct.

Separate account creation is something Asus mentioned that would get added at some point in the future.
