Hello,
Can someone give me an idea how I can create a USB share for just the guest network in the simplest way possible? I have an AX6u PRO on latest merlin firmware.
The goal would be for the guest network to have its own samba share, and the main lan would have its own. I want to maintain the network isolation and don't want the guest and main lan sharing subnets or USB shares, etc.
The usb drive on the router itself is accessible from the main network. This could serve for the main lan samba share.
For the guest network, I haven't figured out a way from the router itself.
I've considered using a separate router as an repeater to share its usb drive. I was hoping to use my GL.inet travel router, but what I've gathered is that when it acts as a repeater, it creates its own subnet and there is no way to change that. This basically makes it inaccessible from the guest network. There is an "extender" mode that gets the subnet from the main router, but this disables the travel router USB drive and SMB.
I don't have a NAS, and was hoping to just leverage components I already have like the travel router. I appreciate any advice, and hope my question is clear.
