AiMesh Ethernet Backhaul Issues

David W Gray

New Around Here
I'm using an RT-AC88U as the main router and a RT-AC68U as the node. Tried using the ethernet backhaul feature and either thru a switch or direct when the 68U switches to wired the 88U Wan port disconnects and I no longer have internet. Turning the internet off and back on in the 88U clears the problem sometimes for 5 mins or as long as an hour. Going back to wireless backhaul does not cause the problem.

Anyone seen this or perhaps have any suggestions.

Thank You

David

Seems very odd for a LAN connection on the 88 to affect its WAN!

Presuming you have 68 WAN > 88 LAN1?

I have an 88 as router and powerline/Ethernet backhaul to two nodes and no issues.

Short of re flashing both with the latest firmware and configuring from scratch I’m not sure what to suggest.

Make a factory reset on both units and dont load saved config, make it again by hand.
press WPS-button while powering on and release 20s later. Do it twice as some things wont reset in one step.
