I wrote to a few UK retailers saying that as Asus do not localise their firmware correctly for Europe, what router could they recommend. They invariably wrote back saying that all their kit WAS localised for the UK.
I explained to them that *all* Asus routers are crippled as they are not setup specifically for the UK.
Maybe retailer pressure may work if consumer pressure fails.
In the UK, in future, I will make it a condition of sale that any future router I buy is correctly localised.
