Android Battery Drain

I have since switching to Asus 87U with Merlin firmware noticed that my Android devices are prevented from entering sleep-mode (i.e. become inactive).
I then read the release notes of a recent (Dec 11th) firmware from Asus that are stating the following:

- Added Movistar Triple VLAN profile in IPTV setting page
- Fixed too many repeat information in system log.
- Fixed Traffic analyzer issue UI issue when changing the data.

Is this workaround also going to be implemented for Merlin?
