It's not a mandatory but it's always a good idea to upgrade, to get the bug fix, security patches etc ...

Bug fixes and security fixes don't just apply to WiFi only bud... If someone does attack your network, it isn't always going to be over WiFi...you can get attacked through the WAN side as well. So, just because your WiFi is secure, does not mean that everything is secure! Do some reading about security.

I'm not aware of any recent OpenVPN security issue, OpenSSL would be the one I would pay closer attention to.
