Anyone know how the antenna works?

Anyone know how the antenna works? Is it at the top of the antennas the signal is best or middle? How to align them to get as good wifi as possible from one side of the house to another?

honestly what works for me is I have my rt-n66u in my attic connected to my switch in my gaming room.

with the asus in my attic which is not in the middle of the house but about 20 feet from where it was previously.

but know in the attic and not low on a desk but up high so it can rain down crazy wifi signal.

So for me the best way to point the antenna is to have the router up high and as close to the middle of your house as you can.
