Ap wireless log

i noticed that in my wireless log for my AP, that the connected systems just show macs, but when connected to my router, I can see the device names. Is that just a function of how the AP works? Thanks

Just to add to the above, when the device is in AP mode it can’t do name resolution because the DHCP is being handled by the router, not the AP.
