Assistance explaining DNS lead test result using root hints for DNS?

I run a local DNS on my LAN, using root hints (I'm experimenting) and am curious as to why the test results from https://dnsleaktest.com are showing that this node, which appears to be my ISP's pool (not sure of the correct term) is receiving DNS requests? I get this result when using root hints, but when I use forwarders (say, for OpenDNS), it correctly displays the IPs for OpenDNS's servers.

Is the result below, using root hints, merely saying that request to resolve DNS first travel through this IP below first before iterating through the root hint servers? Thanks.

Is it your own WAN IP in the leak test? What DNS server product do you run locally?
