ASUS AC 88 U / Archer C7 question re access point

New here, I've been using routers for years but have never really gone under the hood. Looking forward to learning what's what so here I am.

I just setup an ASUS AC88U, I'd like to use the router it replaced, a Link-sys Archer C7, as an access point but haven't a clue as to what to do. Did some searches here as well as on the Link-sys site but....

Appreciate some help or point me to a link. Thanks!

Well to start, the archer c7 is a tp-link router so you probably won't find much on the linksys forum.
