New Around Here
Im currently looking for a router with best range and speed possible. even if that means i will need to flash it with ww-wrt or tomato firmwares.

i have seen the SNB charts and read many reviews but i can reach a conclusion.
ASUS seems to be the best of the best on the reviews, but on SNB benchmarks its just average.
Linksys and netgear have mixed reviews but their speeds are on the top places.

unfortunatly EA7500 is not yet supported by WW-wrt .

help, please

At this point, when comparing flagship models between manufacturers, the wifi range/performance will be very similar to one another. We're at that point where the laws of physics is what is limiting us. I would rather focus on the other features of each routers, to see what fits your needs best. Because let's be honest, you will never notice the performance difference in day-to-day usage between 400 and 375 Mbps of throughput. As for range, maximum range might vary, but clients which are at such extreme range will not run very well anyway, so it might not be a marked improvement over not connect at all - connection might not be very stable, and might fluctuate during the day based on external interference sources.

So, for me, looking for the best speed and range, i should go for the cheapest one.
for me what matter is LAN (cable - cable and cable - wireless ) data transfer

There's multiple reviews involving the R7800 on this site. The router was tested and reviewed here, and it is also included in a review of MU-MIMO routers. So there's some good information here. The Linksys EA7500 is also reviewed here, so you can compare the test results in the reviews and see what you think.
