AX1800 is not a model number. Are you asking about the RT-AX55 ? If so Merlin does not support this model.

I had the same question about the RT-AX1800S (https://www.asus.com/us/networking-iot-servers/wifi-routers/asus-wifi-routers/rt-ax1800s/techspec/). In the comments of amazon page several people have mentioned they are running merlin RT-AC68U on this router. I don't need Wifi because I'm using a different access point but I need a new router to handle my traffic. I don't want to spend a bunch of money on the router when I'm not using the Wifi.

That's impossible, the RT-AC68U is completely different hardware. The RT-AX1800S is a MediaTek router, Merlin only creates firmware for Broadcom routers.
