Asus DSL-AC68U question

Hi. I'm in search of a new router. From what I've read I decided to buy the ASUS RT-AC68U. But i saw that there will be a deal for the Asus DSL-AC68U tomorrow at A*azon.de. So i wanted to ask you if there is any difference between the two apart from the modem in the DSL version? Is there any performance difference or stability issues? Should i go for it or wait for a deal for the RT-AC68U ?

The DSL version has a different firmware and cannot be flashed with Merlin's or John's fork.
If you do not need the DSL version (why would you?), you should take a normal version only!
