New Around Here
Hello,
I just bought a new modem/router Asus DSL-N66U
I noticed when running tracerts/speedtest, that all of my results are roughly double that of what they were with the old modem which needed to be replaced.
(this is not an issue specifcly happening with this modem only, but every other modem i try to use apart from the one which needed to be replaced... which was provided by the company itself)
In the tracerts i've noticed that the additional ping is coming out of the 2nd process on the tracert.
for example connected via ethernet cable
192.168.1.1. <1ms
192.168.100.1 <28ms
example of old modem
192.168.1.1 <1ms
192.168.100.1 <10ms
I've tried to Google this issue with the other modems as well, but can't seem to find out whats causing it.
Anyone able to help me out here? some sort of security function or something i need to disable?
