Asus Warranty Process ?

Quick question, I had a GT-AX6000 which ended up needing to be RMA'ed late last year. The original purchase date was January 2023.

They sent out a replacement which arrived last September (2024). I am having some issues with this replacement where the internet connection is dropping. Another user mentioned a very similar issue which ended up being hardware related and needed to be replaced.

I logged into my Asus account and noticed my original router had been removed so I added the replacement router which is showing its warranty status as expired.

Question, is that normal? The replacement is less than 9 months old and we are less than two and a half years from the original purchase date. I would have expected the replacement to include at least a year of warranty. Any ideas?

I hate to be that guy, but is there a way to open a simple support ticket? I started a chat support session and the agent is simply telling me the device is no longer covered under warranty from what they can see. I can see an option on the Asus website to contact the CEO but would like to avoid going that route if possible.

According to the agent, the warrant expired in March 2025. Frustrating to say the least.

Click on the Feedback option at the bottom of every page in the router's webUI. Or go to Administration - Feedback.

My understanding is that the RMA replacement carries the remainder of the original warranty for what you bought or 90 days, whichever is longer. For purposes of comparison, the last time I checked, Sony's standard warranty on pretty much everything they sold new (TV's, PlayStations, etc) was 90 days.

A lot of countries have laws that would require the warranty to be much longer than 90 days for a new product.

And I just checked on more recent stuff from Sony and thankfully, they don't appear to do this anymore. My PS/2 though, I definitely remember it... not that I'm bitter.
