ASUS DSLAC68U - Half download speeds

New Around Here
Hi all,

Just recently setup the Asus modem/router. everything is perfect except for a couple of issues.
I'm connected on NBN FTTB/N - about 200m from node.

Currently syncing at 95 D/L and 44 U/L.
Speed test confirms actual D/L of 88 and U/L of 44.
If I rerun the test after a few hours, the D/L is always at 44 to 45 D/L.
U/L is always fine. The moment I reboot, speeds return to normal.
I've run the tests, via ethernet, wired and on several devices - PC, Iphone and Game Console.

I've tried on both the following firmware versions below with no luck.
- 3.0.0.4.380_7361-g4336188
- 3.0.0.4_380_7712-ga519811

I'm currently running 7361 (older) as I've found the reboot speeds faster on this firmware.
Start times are 4 mins 50 seconds.
On the 7712 firmware, reboot to having an interest connection can be up to 7-8 minutes.
Is this normal, I've never experienced such a slow reboot on any modem before.

I can live with the slow reboots but I feel the router is limiting the download speeds.

- I have switch on 802.1Q (I was getting very slow D/L on PC).
- CTF is Auto
- QoS is off

Any input would be great. I don't want to return this modem.
