ASUS takes a very hands off approach with SNB. I don't meet with them at CES and they don't provide announcements in advance so that I can get coverage written before the show. You also don't see them at the press events.
I'll get a post up at some point, but the CNET article has a good summary of the announcement.

Based on what I've heard, it's quite the opposite. They've made a lot of internal changes to deal with the FTC requirements. We should see the first results from this within a month or two.
