Release ASUS GT-BE98 Pro Firmware version 3.0.0.6.102_39260 (2026/03/12)

From what I can see its a Trend Micro generated problem. Am I correct? I just disabled it.

Did it work for you? You’re having the same issue as me with this new firmware . The firmware previous that got pulled was flawless.
What I did was a factory reset again, then manual input of all my settings, kept off the Trend Micro and so far no problems. Under 1 day of runtime. I will monotor and report back.

To keep off the trend micro, is it just withdrawing from the asus privacy notice?

So far working working perfectly, no sign of that log error- Yes you can withdraw from the privacey notices but I opted to make sure and just factory reset.

Someone check me on this, the SHA-256 does not match on the 260 firmware posted on the Asus site!

Asus online indicates: 882BA6B1E8DFE24FAF1C32BAF7E9D0C1B9AA6CEB955AEF95A950186B4FFE750A

Files indicates: 84d6facc3ad3fe75b7dc37f34d4b7470077f6e293ed09fb295e25b35271cdc9c

Why is this?

The Asus hash (882BA6B1E8DFE24FAF1C32BAF7E9D0C1B9AA6CEB955AEF95A950186B4FFE750A) matches the firmware .ZIP file. You appear to have checked the Asus hash against the extracted .pkgtb firmware file. Asus hash matched to firmware zip file:

Well I just turned back on Trend Micro AI Protection based on this warning from a user on the Asus forum:

"I strongly recommend against turning off Trend Micro at this time. ISPs, routers, and android devices are under high level attacks from Iran, China, Russia, and others.

In just a few hours, I could see where numerous attacks had been blocked. The frequency of these attacks is exceptionally high at the current time. Once your IoT or Android devices have been compromised, you will have a difficult time cleaning them and you may not realize clients are infected."

Just letting everyone know of this. What are your thoughts?

Also another question, If I switch to Merlin firmware with Diversion and Skynet is that any safer than the Trend Micro or is Trend Micro also needed in addition to those?

Just
Got another disconnect, will have to revert to the firmware that was pulled

Well I enabled Trend Micro - 3 hours later a massive disconnect. I reset and disabled it again. This is rediculous. I am tempted to go back to the 249 firmware but I am unsure what was changed from 249 to 260

I went back to 249 and not even a hour in got a disconnect again. Out of options now and went back to an old orbi router.

The GT-BE98 needs a lot of work ! I upgraded and I'm still having inconsistent results and honestly for the cost of this router - thats awful !!!

I went back to the 249 firmware and again turned on Trend Micro. Stay Tuned

Not sure if I needed to factory reset after going to 249 but I didn’t. Once it disconnected on me, I lost hope.
I factory reset after the 249 install, then entered my settings. So far so good. It also seems quicker. I will update here.
