Asus n66u no internet connection with DSL

New Around Here
I have installed an N66u.

I'm on 3bb DSL in Thailand, and I wanted to have a wireless network where I can have it connected to a VPN 24/7 so I can watch BBC etc and don't have to worry about multiple devices etc with my VPN account.

The 3bb Modem is NT3BB-1PWN-124

I have flashed the Asus with Tomato's firmware, and when I log into the GUI I can see it's connected via WAN.

The 3bb router IP address is 192.168.1.1

it gives the Asus an IP of 192.168.1.3

However when I connect to the SSID for the Asus it has no internet access, the only thing I can access is the Tomato GUI and the only thing I can ping is the DSL modem.

What am I doing wrong please? I'm no expert as you can tell, was hoping it'd be a bit more simple than this!!

sorted it by reflashing with merlins latest ASUSWRT firmware.

Tomato is rubbish, 24 hours of wasted time and effort, merlins was practically plug and play.

192.168.1.1 is the default IP of most commercial routers on the market, including the ASUS.
I am not sure why Merlin's firmware figured it out but that would be a conflict for most router firmware. I run Tomato-Shibby v117 (it is certainly not "rubbish" and provides some features not available on Merlin's excellent firmware) on my RT-N66U with no problems but my satellite modem uses a default IP of 192.168.100.1, so no conflict with routers.
