We are using ASUS firmware, version 3.0.0.4.376.2524. Want to switch to Merlin, but it is in production so i have to be careful about switching.
Often we have internal services we do port forwards, like openvpn, ftp, etc. We are able to get those ports to forward no problem and can connect to them no problem.
Our main issue is that we cannot test these accounts from inside our or internal network. Let's say our ip as reported a google "what is my ip" is 89.89.89.102 (not our real ip). We can ping 89.89.89.102 just find. The problem is we cannot openvpn to that ip address.
Couple of questions. What would be a good term to describe this behavior? Does Merlin fix this? Is there anyway to fix this, settings etc, in the ASUS firmware?
