asus rt-ac66u slow download

I 'm using an asus rt-ac66u together with a new sb6183 modem .Speedtested flatline at a little under 100 mbps .I'f I take out the router ,Hook the surfboard modern connect directly to my computer i'm able to download at nearly 227mbps .Wondering if anybody can help

I experienced the same problem. The solution in my case was to set the Nat Acceleration switch on the Lan Switch Control tab on Auto instead of Disable. It increased my speed from 85 Mb to 300 Mb.
