Asus RT-AC68U Merlin firmware cant ping other machines on LAN

Coach McGuirk

New Around Here
Hi,

I recently got an ASUS RT-AC68U. It was the T-Mobile branded version, I went through some steps and got it on stock firmware (then updated that to the latest). Everything worked fine so I upgraded to Merlins latest firmware for more features.

The problem i'm having is I cant ping/RDP to my other networked machines. For example I have one hooked up to my TV that I copy movies to and cant access the share I setup or ping the machine. I can connect to this machine over TeamViewer, it's connected and working. Everything can ping the router but not each other (tried hostname and IP). I am able to ping my wireless security cameras and connect to them like normal through a browser.

Here is my sysinfo page. I noticed that maybe my Bootloader might be older? Not sure. I haven't really changed any default settings other than opening a couple ports for my cameras.

Firmware Version 380.63_2

Bootloader (CFE) 1.0.2.0
Driver version wl0: Jul 6 2016 20:27:36 version 6.37.14.126 (r561982)

I havent noticed any other issues. I've been working from home the past few days without any issues and streamed lots of stuff. I did notice a bunch of random failed login attempts from other IPs in the log so I just disabled SSH access over WAN

Okay It had to do with the Firewalls on my PCs.

My TV PC had rejoined the network as a "Public" network. I changed it to home and can now ping it from my main PC.

The TV computer can ping back by IP, but not hostname still..
