Hello:
I want to use my Nexus 4 data as backup WAN in case of primary WAN break down. I make the following changes on the router:
1. Dual WAN: enabled
2. Primary WAN: WAN
3. Secondary WAN: USB
4. Dual WAN mode: failover
On USB modem page:
1. WAN Type: USB
2. USB Modem: enabled
3. Location: Manual
4. USB Modem WCDMA
5. USB adapter: Auto
Others leave blank.
I enabled USB tethering on my phone and it says tethered on the phone screen. When I open the router webpage, I see my phone is showing up in the USB 2.0 status, but secondary WAN status keeps "Disconnected".
Anyone has made it success to use usb tethering as WAN connection?
