New Around Here
Good Day,

I have just started having issue with my "asus rt-ac86u", the issue is that my WAN IP is not correct and showing an internal IP for my DHCP, and I think this is the reason I cant get my OpnVPN working.

Its been fine for a long time and only just happened, I have rebooted and checked everything and not certain what to do unless I do a factory reset.

Regards

What are the first two octets of your WAN IP address?

What IP address range is your router's LAN configured for (e.g. 192.168.1.*)?

What type of device is connected to your router's WAN port (e.g. cable modem, VDSL modem, etc.)?

What do you mean by "cant get my OpnVPN working", server or client?

My internal subnet is 192.168.1.0/24 and the WAN IP have changed to 192.168.X.X

I am on Virgin Media and the WAN is connected to the Virgin Modem.

Is the WAN IP address 192.168.0.x? If so it looks like your Hub has been reset to router mode rather than modem mode.

P.S. I'm assuming you're talking about Virgin Media UK, not Ireland.

Blame the tidy person with the duster! :)
