1) every time I choose channel 138 (for 5Ghz) - http://prntscr.com/qrhn15, but after rebooting it became Auto by itself - http://prntscr.com/qrhnir
2) with that settings for 5 Ghz my smartphone shows that Connection speed is 86 mbt/s. Eralier, with some other setting I had even 200 mbt/s there..
3) is everything fine with Professional settings?
http://prntscr.com/qrho9t
http://prntscr.com/qrhodk
http://prntscr.com/qrhoik
http://prntscr.com/qrholz
4) I disabled upnp but I didn't find any in Port Forward settings
http://prntscr.com/qrhou9
http://prntscr.com/qrhp6k
and also, on my PC there's DLNA server installed, and uTorrent. I guess they need upnp?...
5)
set 2.4 GHz WLAN to OE-24
- set 5.0 GHz WLAN to OE,
what is it and where is it?
6)
set public DNS servers* (Quad9 9.9.9.9 and 149.112.112.112)
you meant write it there - DNS/WNS - http://prntscr.com/qrhqpd
?
7) because of some of the 2.4 wireless settings my old netbook asus eeepc1001px can not connect to wifi. Yup, I need it for some reasons. )

Thank you!!!

Are you selecting APPLY before leaving each page?

OE and OE-24 are my SSID names... use your own SSID names.

WAN DNS settings are on the WAN page. The default uses your ISP DNS. Otherwise, set your own preference. I use Quad9 DNS.

Disable Airtime Fairness per band to see if that helps your old laptop adapter.

OE

How to go through that procedure?
Actually there is a checkbox next to the "restore" button. Just hit it.

uhmmm... as you can see at screenshots - it's disabled.

I assume all settings are default until decided otherwise. There are too many settings to directly track and the defaults mostly work. So... I never looked at your screen shots.

Regarding the Auto Wireless Mode, note that if you select the setting label ?, pop-up Help helps to explain the setting options. Perhaps you can identify why the Auto setting enables your old adapter.

I have this extremely annoying thing where my router keeps dropping all my wifi devices for a few seconds then reconnects again.

This is what shows up in the logs. Every single homekit devices resets at this point, lights turn on (the default state) and homekit outlets reset, turning off and on (no idea why they turn off but whatever). Its really annoying, had this router for about 1 year and didn't have any problems with it..it just started doing this sh*t few weeks ago.

Anyone else knows whats up with these WLCEVENTD events? and how can they be fixed?

Thank you...Asus has sh*tty support so I have no luck with them besides sending this to warranty and waiting 2 weeks to prob get it back.

It's just additional logging Asus implemented, it's a daemon Asuswrt runs to detect wireless client connecting/disconnecting. Just noise on the log, but nothing to worry about.

I had this problem where my (AC3100 ver. 3.0.0.4.384_45149) WiFi devices on the 2.4Ghz band (e.g. Wemo, Home Kit, Google Home minis) were NOT connecting after I restarted my router. The router's log was full of repetitive error entries for those unconnected WiFi devices - WLCEVENTD: Disassoc and Assoc

I was able to RESOLVE this issue by disabling the Airtime Fairness and Universal Beamforming feature in the router:

  • Log into the router as the administrator
  • Select within the left pane menu: Advanced Settings > Wireless
  • Select along the top tabs: Professional
  • Select the Wifi Band (drop down menu: 2.4Ghz) having the issue
  • Set the following 2 features to Disable:

    • Airtime Fairness
    • Universal Beamforming

  • Click on the Apply button to save the settings
After making the above changes, all my 2.4Ghz devices reconnect within 2 mins. after a router reboot (I have 15 devices on the 2.4Ghz band) and I no longer get those Disassoc/Assoc error messages in the router's log. Note that I did NOT experience this problem with devices on the 5Ghz band.
U R a great man. I disabled Universal Beamforming and Tasmota devices connected without the need of any reboot.
I will test it longer but for the time being the trick seems to work :)

i wanted to let you all know what fixed my Crazy logs. i had an old wireless G device trying to connect to my network, but i had for forgot i switched my 2.4 network to n only. putting back to auto fixed.
